Editing Models Of Minecraft Blocks


For this you will not need Optifine.

1 Create a resource pack file that should look like this :

If you don’t know how to make a resource pack check one of these tutorials. Click me to find one.

After that in the pack .mcmeta change the pack_format to 9.

If you choose 9 it is made for an older version of Minecraft but it still works just fine if you are using Minecraft 1.19.3.

Just ignore the warning.

Now the pack.mcmeta should look like this :

Now go to the assets folder.

create a new folder called item or block or whatever type of element you want to edit. Add a folder called Minecraft. Inside the Minecraft folder put the item or block folder in. Then create a folder called models and another one called textures. The Minecraft folder should look like this :

Now go to the application called Blockbench. Inside Blockbench select Java Block/Item. Then create the model and texture. Here is a simple example :

After that export the texture by right clicking on it. Then Export the model. Put the json model inside the models folder. Then put the texture inside the textures folder. After you are done you can test it. Then you are done!
